Anticipatory Grief is what happens when we are faced with a loss of a loved one with a chronic or terminal illness. It may feel like an in-between place, where everything seems temporary, where sadness might co-exist with hope for a cure, where there is uncertainty about how to be here in the present with our loved one and acknowledge the depth of our impending loss at the same time. “Why am I grieving already?” is a question often asked. This workshop will address that question and provide the space to honor the unexpected grief that typically precedes an expected death.
Please join Lynne Levinson for this two-hour experiential workshop. Lynne is a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma, grief and loss. She has provided counseling in Austin since 1992, and joined the counseling team at The Austin Center for Grief & Loss in 2016.
