The Role of Forgiveness in Grief

Join us for an afternoon of enlightenment and learning with

Lori Pelliccia, LPC-Intern


One of the greatest challenges that grieving people might face is forgiveness. The practice of forgiveness can lead to compassion for others and to healing.  Participants will explore the connection of forgiveness within the grieving process, examine some widespread beliefs about forgiveness that make it challenging to forgive, and learn specific steps to help with the process of forgiveness.

Fee: $20 per participant, $10 for non-profits, $5 for students.

Lori earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin and received her LPC Internship license in February 2015.  Lori began volunteering at Austin Grief in September 2012 as a support group facilitator and completed two semesters of graduate clinical work, where she counseled adults experiencing significant grief and loss. Lori was drawn to the work at Austin Grief through her own experiences of grief and loss and considers it a privilege to witness her clients’ healing and transformation. Lori has a natural ability to connect with people; her compassion and kindness put her clients at ease.  Lori is supervised by Brittany Neece, LPC-S, LMFT-S.
