LGBTQIA DEATH LOSS
2nd & 4th WEDNESDAY EVENINGS
Members of the LGBTQIA grief support group have experienced the death loss of a parent, partner, sibling, or another close relative or friend. Group participants are often at different stages in their grief journey, and shared experiences help those whose loss is very recent as well as those for whom the death occurred years ago. Each meeting starts with a candle lighting and relaxation, followed by a discussion on the common emotions and hardships experienced in grief. We strive to balance grief work and restorative work, helping members leave with a sense of hope for their future.
Size of the group: Generally 8-12 members.
Facilitated by two trained volunteer facilitators.
