WOMEN'S MOTHER LOSS
1st & 3rd TUESDAY EVENINGS
The membership of this group is women from all walks of life who have experienced the death of their mother. The themes for the group sessions vary according to what is happening in the lives of the members of the group. Each session a particular theme or topic is offered and the group decides whether to discuss that topic or one that is more pertinent on that specific night. Examples of topics discussed are: managing difficult feelings day to day, taking on new roles once filled by the mother, overall fatigue and overwhelm, relationships with other family members after the death, important life milestones such as getting married or having children, sadness and anger, etc.
Size of the group: Generally 6-10 members.
Facilitated by two trained volunteer facilitators.
