An automobile accident in 1975 changed Paula D'Arcy's life forever.  She woke up to learn that her husband and young child had been killed.  She was pregnant, and her healthy baby daughter would be born several months later.  Her personal tragedy and struggles led her to discover a personal relationship with God.  Paula has devoted her life to sharing her spiritual journey with others and to bringing helping, loving, prayerful support to those who need it.

Paula D’Arcy is a writer, playwright, retreat leader and conference and seminar speaker. In 2001 she established Red Bird Foundation, which supports the growth and spiritual development of those in need throughout the world, including men and women in prison.  The foundation has sponsored two international gatherings of women known as WOMENSPEAK, conferences which honor the woman’s voice as a force of peace and healing for the world.  A former psychotherapist, Paula survived the loss of her husband and young daughter in an accident in 1975. She was three months pregnant at the time.  Several months later, her healthy daughter was born.  Among her best-selling books are Gift of the Red Bird, Waking Up to This Day, and Sacred Threshold.  Paula's newest publications are: STARS AT NIGHT:  When Darkness Unfolds as Light (2016) and WINTER OF THE HEART: Finding Your Way through the Mystery of Grief (2018).
