HURRICANE HARVEY RESPONSE & RELIEF
The Austin Center for Grief & Loss, as well as the greater Austin community, stand with victims of Hurricane Harvey. We grieve for the 30,000 people that have been displaced from their homes and support those who have joined us in Austin seeking refuge.
When a natural disaster of this caliber strikes home, we are left with feelings of hopelessness, anger, sadness, and frustration. We experience a fog of disbelief, unsure of how to move forward. We wonder what we can do to help those who have been impacted. We also have the opportunity to work together to support evacuees seeking respite in Austin.
Austin Grief has seen our family and friends drop everything, packing cars and boats full of supplies to support hurricane survivors. Texans are engaging in rescue efforts, sharing resources, supporting each other, and becoming heroes. We are inspired by our community, and we are committed to joining efforts to provide resources to victims.
Austin Grief is now offering Support Groups on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Please call Austin Grief for more information at 512.472.7878 or visit AustinGrief.org. In times of greatest need, we choose to connect, love, and help.
